Recently the Sedco 714 BOP has been re-unitised utilising mechanical BOP components that are re-housed in the existing BOP structural frame. Rig Engineering has been tasked to assist Transocean Inc. to carry out a 3D colour panoramic scan of the BOP and LMRP package structural framings. The first objective is to hand over the neutral scan file in ASTM E57 file format and follow by Autodesk Product scan file to TOI and TOI’s customer who wishes to do the clash check of deploying BOP through the Well Head Protection Frame. The videos contained in this 3860-1 series shows the walk through path inside the cloud scan of BOP scan data collected by RE surveyors. For more information, refer also to 3860-2 Sedco 714 Colour Panoramic Photographic Records of BOP and also 3860–3 Sedco 714 BOP survey headcam video. All these data are then processed and used within Rig Engineering to arbitrate the changes that have been done to the structural framing from the time the As Built Drawings were checked out in 2013 with the view to produce the latest state of the construction as exists today. This redraft of the modified frame is documented in RE Job Number 3865 Sedco 714 BOP As Built structural framing.
